Washington, D.C., Aug. 3, 2016 — Washington-based public relations and communications firm Clyde Group today announced that Alex Slater, founder and managing director, has been named to PRWeek's  2016 "40 Under 40" List. The prestigious award from PRWeek, a market-leading specialist magazine published by Haymarket Media, honors 40 professionals under age 40 who are making outstanding contributions to the communications industry and are viewed as emerging leaders. "The Washington, DC, strategist and public affairs guru doesn’t just talk, he builds, be it forging an alliance between a citizen group and a corporation, building up the reputation of a client in crisis, or starting his own agency from scratch," PRWeek said in recognition of Slater's accomplishments. This announcement comes as Clyde Group prepares to celebrate its two-year anniversary. Under Slater’s leadership, the firm has quickly become a major player in the education, technology, finance and healthcare sectors. Most recently, Clyde Group was selected as a public relations partner for President Obama’s Precision Medicine Initiative (PMI) Cohort Program at the National Institutes of Health—building on the firm’s previous work for powerhouses like the American Diabetes Association and The diaTribe Foundation.
