Clyde Group Makes First Acquisition, Expands Team with Series of New Hires
Rapidly growing D.C.- based communications and public relations firm makes its first acquisition bolstering the firm’s education practice and enhancing its portfolio of services
Washington, DC — Oct. 31, 2016 — Clyde Group, a Washington, DC-based communications and public relations firm, announced today the acquisition of ADS Communications and the hiring of Alicia Sellitti as Education Director. The company also announced the addition of Allison Baer, Ben Cohn and Sarah Morris as Associates. In keeping with Clyde Group’s steady phase of growth, this addition will further enhance the firm’s capabilities across its practice areas—especially in education, technology, financial services and non-profit/issue advocacy.
Prior to joining Clyde Group, Sellitti acted as principal of ADS Communications, a boutique consulting firm, boasting a diverse portfolio of clients that have been featured in major national news outlets including The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today and Washington Post. Selitti has successfully secured stories on behalf of her clients on The Today Show and NBC News with Brian Williams, as well as CNN and all other major networks.
Sellitti brings with her more than ten years of dynamic consulting work that has included top brands like DKNY and Clinique, the Council for Economic Education and the New York Public Library. Additionally, she has built strong relationships with military families and organizations around the District through her extensive work with the Semper Fi Fund. Her experience in press outreach, media training, strategy and content development enhance Clyde Group’s growing presence and authority within the education space and beyond.
“I was particularly drawn to Clyde Group not only because of its exciting public relations and communications work, but for its ambition toward thought leadership; this firm looks beyond the rote day-to-day operations, and is clearly emerging as one of the leading change-makers in town,” says Sellitti.
In addition to Sellitti, Clyde Group has hired Allison Baer, Ben Cohn and Sarah Morris. Baer previously worked within the new business division of Burson-Marsteller, where she focused on building new client relationships and strategy development. Cohn joins Clyde Group with a background in political and legislative consulting. He earned a JD from the University of San Diego and was mentored by longtime DC insider and Democratic strategist, Robert Shrum. Morris comes from Small Girls PR, a boutique Brooklyn-based agency, where she supported clients including BB Dakota, GE and theSkimm.
