Clyde Group Announces Senior Hires, Agency Growth.

The Washington-based public relations and public affairs firm names new managing director and new chief strategy officer, adds additional team members and builds on impressive client base.

Clyde Group, one of Washington’s fastest-growing communications and public relations agencies, continues to be recognized for excellence and growth, announcing expansions to its team and client roster. Clyde Group, which has been annually ranked by PR Week as a top five boutique agency in the United States, is announcing the appointment of A ubrey Quinn as a managing director at the firm with new responsibilities for operations as well as high-level client strategy. Quinn was previously senior vice president and initially joined the firm in 2016 as a vice president. Alex Slater, the agency’s founder, has taken on the new role of chief strategy officer. “Aubrey has played a major role in Clyde Group’s success over the past two years, helping contribute to our national recognition and growth,” said Slater. “She will play an integral part of our development as we look to the next chapter, delivering even better results for our clients.” “In just four years Clyde Group has established itself as a leading agency in the nation and I’m proud to have been on the team that achieved this,” said Quinn. “We’re on the cusp of an ambitious and exciting phase of the firm’s life, and I’m honored to be a part of that.” Prior to joining Clyde Group, Quinn led marketing and communications efforts for Lansinoh and served as vice president of communications for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. She brings more than 15 years of experience across agency, nonprofit and in-house corporate roles. Quinn was named a "Rising PR Star" by Bulldog Reporter in 2017 and a PRWeek Champion of PR in 2018. Quinn’ s new role builds on ongoing growth at the agency. Scott Nolan Smith joins the firm as a vice president. He previously held the position of associate director in the Washington office of Portland Communications and served as head of digital at the British Embassy in Washington. An expert in soft power influence and a founder of the Digital Diplomacy Coalition, Smith brings extensive digital and global communications experience to Clyde Group’s increasingly diverse portfolio of clients and services. Clyde Group has also hired a new director, Geoff Vetter, who was most recently an external relations strategist for AECOM, a multinational engineering firm, where he oversaw strategic communications for significant infrastructure projects in the Washington D.C. metro area. He also brings unique political experience to Clyde Group having served as a communications director for a gubernatorial campaign in Arizona and as a legislative aide for the Senate Minority Leader in the Arizona State Senate. In the past month, Clyde Group welcomed Nicole Gutierrez as a senior associate, Fiona Burke and Veronica Molina as associates, and Talley Snow and Jeremie Davis as junior associates. “When I started Clyde Group, it was with the idea of building both the best agency to work with, and the best agency to work for,” said Slater. “We’ve experienced incredible success toward this goal, and it all stems from how deeply we invest in our team and the emphasis we place on building an exceptional company culture. We will continue to make this central to everything we do, even as we refine and redefine how we deliver results and overcome challenges for our clients.”
In addition to new staff, Clyde Group is excited to continue to see growth in its client roster, which now includes The West Hollywood AIDS Memorial, the ESA Foundation, Catalonia America Council, Virginia Community College System and Ayuda, among others.
